Detroit Paddy Slag

This is the band all of your friends have been talking about. Stone Clover brings the party to life with their infectious, high-octane originals and energetic stage show. Don't plan on sitting down once they've hit the stage!

Swift guitar swirls with dancing violin, on top of mandolin or accordion, while the bass and drums drive a rhythm straight to your core! The next thing you know your ears are infected by the Paddy Slag, and you can't stop bouncing along. So don’t fight it any longer. Download the music, grab some swag from the merch store, and find the next show date in your area. Bring your friends and join the party that is Stone Clover!

After taking many years off from MRF to raise kids and work way to many hours our then almost 16 yr old wanted to celebrate her 16th Bday at MRF. We contacted our friend Tigerlily aka Jessica M. for suggestions. She told us to meet her at Stone Clover as that is where she spent much of her time. We really had no idea what Stone Clover was but off we went in search of Lily and Stone Clover. That first day back dragging our 12 yr old who was not having a lot of fun around we showed up to see Lily and this band. I am a huge fan of anything Celtic music so an Irish Band was perfect for me. My husband and I feel in love with the band, faire and the friends we were meeting. Even are "bored son" was having fun and made sure we returned to every performance for the remainder of the day. Now we can not think of Lily without talking about Stone Clover and vice versa. Never take the CD out of the car and often send the now 15 yr old out of the car to school singing a wide range of Stone Clover songs yes even those that really should not be song going into a school but what the heck.

My favorite moment of Stone Clover..... Watching you play closing weekend at MIRF. WOW! It was warm, with a slight breeze, and the sun was shining through the trees. Every once in awhile, when a breeze came up, it showered you all with leaves from the beautiful oak tree you were playing under. I sang, danced, laughed and drank with you on that beautiful weekend!! Sigh....I know you all remember it! :) It was a seriously magical moment, that gives me goosebumps, just thinking about it. Thank God I have photos and video clips to transport myself back to that moment. Since I live in the U.P, I can't enter the contest, but I still wanted to share such a pleasurable and memorable moment of Stone Clover! Til next time, lads and lass! :) Slainté!!!

MY NEW FAVORITE BAND- I almost got to party with the band- Its was the last weekend of june in northern Michigan- I met the band as they were checking into the same lodging where I was staying. I gave them directions to get around a bridge that was out. It added about 10 miles to every friggin trip you made- Well low and behold Sunday morning I woke up to a skinny person passed out as tree stump in my stinkin cabin!!! I thought it was a she until I went to get the landlord and we came back to the cabin to find said individual peeing standing up- Thank god it was a dude- Chicks that pee standing up scare the hell out of me- I was surprised the hippee (easy hippee thanks a term of endearment) was alive as he was passed out with his face was in my dirty laundry. The landlord gave me the appropriate high five to celebrate her first time a person fell asleep in somebody else's cabin in the 20 years she has been running the place. After peeing essentially all over the bathroom our favorite hippee was lead away by the landlord. Welllll, im a college boy and I but together that this must have been highly overworked band member. They work hard for the money!!!! I asked the guy from the band a few hours later as we were all taking off if we returned his band member in usable shape and much to my surprise THE DUDE WAS NOT WITH THE BAND. We had a huge laugh and I apologized. The van pulled off then backed up. The driver (and real band member) asked if I would share my story and he gave me a "sloppy drunk live" which is sweet- I am making plans to see the band soon!!!!

I enjoyed you so much at St Pat's Irish fest that I would like to attend the North Hold Renaissance Fest. I need to know what time you'll be playing so I can meet my family there.
